Tim Gleason's artistic journey commenced with a humble yet profound skill – holding a pencil. This passion carried him through early education, college, and a transformative collaboration with artist Howie Green as a studio assistant. Tim's time with Howie not only shaped his understanding of being an artist but also illuminated the profound interactions artists can have in conversation with each other.

Seeking to delve deeper into his artistic talents, Tim enrolled in the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration. His quest for refinement led him to pursue an MFA in Painting and Drawing at California State-Fullerton. Under the mentorship of artists like Eileen Cowin, Joey Santarromana, and Tim B. Wride, Tim not only honed his skills but also stepped into teaching, guiding classes in drawing and photography.

Tim's formative years included five significant years as a studio assistant and design studio manager for the late Rex Ray, a notable artist and graphic designer. This experience laid the foundation for Tim's unique ability to understand artists' struggles in the studio and help stretch the boundaries of their work. He currently oversees the Rex Ray Estate and Foundation.

Tim left his mark on entertainment industry for HBO, DirecTV, SyFy Network, and promotional campaigns for shows like Mad Men, How I Met Your Mother, and Modern Family. His designs, ranging from dimensional packaging for Emmy "For Your Consideration" campaigns to upscale invitations, showcased his innovative approach.

His artwork, displayed at Gallery 16 in San Francisco and represented by Brian Marki Fine Art Gallery in Palm Springs, reflects a harmonious blend of artistic innovation and classical technique.

Tim's artistic odyssey continues with enriching artist residencies at the Obras Foundation, Estremoz, Portugal. The most recent residency, August 2023, a collaboration with artists Brian Thorstenson and Stephen Pelton which resulted in an immersive art installation and a devised performance.

As a founding member of HQ, an Artists Collective, Tim uses his mentoring ability to encourage and grow artists' studio practices. The collective's legacy included two group shows in 2018 and 2019.
